FIRE AT MEAT FACTORY.
Fire destroyed much of the TMI pork and bacon factory in Northampton over the weekend but there were no injuries to staff.
Managing director David Abbot said, "The fire broke out on a recently commissioned new production line. The company initiated its emergency plan, staff were evacuated and the emergency services were quickly on the scene".
The company will continue production at other premises in Northampton and also in Coventry and see no immediate disruption of meat orders or inconvenience to clients.
