NORTH OF ENGLAND BUTCHER EXPANDS.

Mike Fenwick Quality Meats, in County Durham, has spent 236,000 pounds (US$355,000) on a new premises for their catering and meat retailing business, that will open in January.

Mike said in an interview with his local paper, the Darlington Times, "with so many firms having such a tough time at the moment, its reassuring that we have been able to secure the financial support to enter a project that will create jobs and help us expand our business".

The business that supplies meat to hotels and restaurants, pubs and clubs across the north of England, had out grown their previous capacity, having built the congregation of customers it was time to build the cathedral for the supplies.

HW Chartered Accountants, who worked with the company and secured government grants and funding, said " This is an excellent example of how the expansion of a North of England business can have a positive knock-on-affect on other local business’s in the region".
