United Kingdom-More sheep thefts.

UNITED KINGDOM-MISSING SHEEP-POLICE are on the lookout for a thief believed to have stolen a sheep.

The animal was last seen with its 27-strong flock in a field at Hart Farm, in Hart Village, Hartlepool, at 4pm on Friday, January 26.

But by 8am the next morning, officers say it was gone.

The farmer who owns the sheep, which is kept in a field near to the roundabout with Hart Lane and the A179, contacted police who are now investigating.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police appealed for witnesses to the theft to come forward.

She said: "The sheep was stolen between 4pm on Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27, at 8am."
