United Kingdom-Organic food is it over.

UNITED KINGDOM.

IS THE ORGANIC BOOM OVER.

There are varying points of view, one school of thought one says, yes with organic foods you lose the risk of chemicals in your food.

The other school says you are in danger of picking up salmonella and e-coli from the animal manure, as was proved in the United States last year.

The 15 years of growth did indeed boom in the last two years, as any supermarket store will testify, by just looking at the shelves.

Were there benefits to be had or was it all a big marketing con.

30 years ago we were old don’t eat butter its bad for the heart, this was a bonanza for the manufacturers of Margarine. Then we were told 10 years ago It was all a mistake, or a lie for want of a better word, in fact its more healthy to eat natural butter.

There are now 4% of the farms of England being run organically, they save on the price of fertilizer, so why is the produce more expensive.

The organic farmers have not suffered as much as conventional farmers in recent price hikes, for the most expensive farm supplies they don’t use.

The jury is out and deliberating, the verdict can be expected very soon, as the house wife with her purse is the real master of the universe, when it comes to food prices.

Who would have believed 20 years ago, that we would be paying more for bottled water than petrol.

Coca Cola had to close their water plant in Ilford Essex, where they were bottling water from the tap after adding a few chemicals, they were in fact adding to much bromide when the scam was exposed by a whisleblower, they had to withdraw every bottle from the shelves in the great water recall.

As one Tabloid put it, Coca Cola succeeding in making tap water less pure, then made a fortune selling it to the public.

If the economy is in trouble, organic farming is over until the good times appear again.
