MOBILE BUTCHERS SHOP.

In the village of Crowborough in Sussex England, the local butcher had to close his shop as the supermarkets had taken most of his trade.

The local people missed the local butcher so much, that a enterprising local couple Penny Sheppard and Carl Leppard came up with the idea of opening a mobile butchers shop in the town.

They initially contemplated opening a butchers shop but soon realized that the overheads would be to high, so they bought and converted a fishmongers truck and plan to open on 24 January.

The meat is being locally sourced and they will also be selling free range poultry.

The couple will deliver meat free of charge up to a 10 mile radius.

My grandfather had a mobile butchers shop in 1954 down in Devon, to compliment his butchers shop in the village.
