UNITED KINGDOM-SHEEP RUSTLING.

SHEEP rustlers have struck again in South Somerset and police are appealing for witnesses following this latest incident.

It has been revealed that around 24 sheep were taken from a field in Norton-sub-Hamdon on March 18.

A police spokesman suggested that the offenders must have known what they were doing and were probably at the scene for sometime to enable them to round-up the sheep.

There have been a number of similar incidents across the district and police believe that the current economic climate may have something to do with the spate of sheep thefts.
