BIG PAY DAY FOR BRITISH FARMERS.

The collapse of the pound against the euro, should lead to hefty payouts by the European Union to the farmers of Great Britain.

Subsidies that are to be paid out, were based at a level was much stronger and this rate is the rate at which Brussels will have to pay out.

The average farmer in England receives 45,000 pounds a year in subsidy, according to the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Farming and Rural Business Group.

The rate when set was 72p to the euro, as opposed to the current 96p to the euro, so in cash terms the farmers will get a windfall bonus of around 33% on the subsidy they were expecting.

This is all based on the rate of the pound remaining low, the other added bonus is the increase of exports of beef and lamb, as the prices are very competitive.
