TESCO WANT COMPENSATION FOR PORK RE-CALL.
Supermarket giant Tesco who hold 35% of the retail trade in the United Kingdom are seeking compensation from the suppliers, who were compensated by the government of Ireland, in relation to the massive pork re-call in December.
Tesco have notified suppliers that it expects to receive the compensation within the next 30 days, this must be awarded from compensation paid to processors from the government.
Suppliers who assumed they were going to pocket the government hand outs are now complaining over the actions of Tesco. Tesco have refused to comment on their actions, however it has been confirmed that the government of Ireland, have in fact already handed out 35 million euros in compensation to processors and producers.
