United Milk confirms 18.7ppI for June milk

Direct suppliers to United Milk's Westbury processing dairy will get 18.7ppl for milk delivered in June. The price was confirmed today (July 4th) "United Milk is maintaining its policy of returning market related prices to its

suppliers. The slight month-on-month fall has been caused by the strengthening of the £ against the €, which has had a small effect on both Intervention Prices and market returns.

"Westbury is performing well and processing in excess of 2 million litres a day," said United Milk's Director of Milk Procurement, Peter Bennett. "That has enabled us to confirm a milk price for a standard litre (4.1 % butterfat and 3.3% protein) on the constituent contract of 18.7ppl for all milk delivered in June. The liquid contract will be 17.95 ppl."
