United States-Cargill new meat plant opens in January.

In March of this year, the value added food factory of Cargill Value Added Meats, at Boonville in Arkansas, burnt down being totally dteroyed in a fire at the premises.
While the company were planning to either re-build or acquire and existing factory, they came across the plant of Carnaco Foods Ltd, In Columbus Nebraska, with a staff of 300 fully trained workers.
Cargill entered into negotiations with the company, the result being that Cargill take over the plant and the existing workforce on January 2.This is complete with the production capacity to replace the production of burgers and patties, that were formerly produced at the Boonville plant.
There was a loss of 800 jobs after the fire at Cargill’s Boonville plant, the company has invited their previous employees to move to the new premises where practical, realizing that many of the old employees, would have already found alternative employment
