United States-Forecast for world meat trade.
WORLDS MARKETS.
ESTIMATED CUTS FOR MEAT TRADE.
According to market analyst Ken Goldman, from J P Morgan, who have been actively involved in the South America meat industry for many years, lean times are ahead for the meat trade.
He said " the industry has been hit by slumping restaurant demand as customers look to eat more at home, an oversupply of meat on the markets that will keep prices low, along with higher prices for fuel and animal feed".
The forecasts from JP Morgan, on companies such as Tyson Foods, Pilgrims Pride and Sanderson Farms, are not favorable for the fore-seeable future.
Goldman said "earning expectations for major meat producers will far less than previously forecast".
Goldman was giving an interview to Forbes Magazine.
