After the demise of the largest Kosher abattoir in the world at Postville Iowa, and the loss of hundreds of jobs. Brazilian beef giant JBS-Swift managed to pick up 20 good slaughtermen and boners, to work in their plant at Marshalltown in Iowa.

JBS-Swift saw this as an opportunity to obtain qualified workers, to settle with their families, putting stability in the lives of the workers and continuity in the staffing of the meat plant which is 130 miles away.

Hundreds of men and their families, have been left stranded in the small town of Postville since the meat plant closed
