UNITED STATES-NEW AUDITING AT CARGILL.

Cargill has implemented third-party auditing program that will operate 24 hours a day, every day at its U.S. beef processing plants, the company announced today.

The remote video auditing system was developed by Arrowsight, which also will manage the program. Arrowsight is a Web-based application services provider.

Cargill has also established a certification program that will train its employees how to handle animals humanely.

Cargill Beef, which is the second largest beef processor in North America, has its headquarters in Wichita. It operates five processing plants across the U.S. and Canada, including one in Dodge City.
