Fort Worth, Texas-based Five Star Custom Foods announced that it will open a new, $20 million processing facility in Nashville, Tenn., that is expected to employ some 250 people within three years, according to press reports.

The maker of meat products, meat-based sauces and non-meat ingredients is expanding for the first time outside its home base in Fort Worth. It was lured to Tennessee by an incentives package that could ultimately be worth more than $3 million, according to The Tennesseean in Nashville, and includes tax credits, low-interest loans and energy credits.

Five Star will spend about six months refitting the former warehouse for manufacturing, reported the Nashville Post. Initially the company will hire 70 to 100 people.
