UNITED STATES-NEW BRAND OF ORGANIC LIVESTOCK FEED.
The Westby-based Heartland Country Cooperative has announced the introduction of a new brand of certified organic livestock feed. Starting with the debut of organic chick starter, poultry grower rations and laying feed for adult hens, Natures Grown Organics feed will be available in 40 pound bags throughout retailers in the Midwest and Great Lakes states, with rapid distribution expansion plans underway to make the product available across the United States. Organic feeds for goats, sheep, rabbits, pigs, calves, as well as cattle minerals, will be added soon to the Natures Grown Organics product portfolio.
Milled by Heartland in their own facilities, Natures Grown Organics is poised to be a premier source of high-quality feed for organic livestock farmers.
"Expanding into organic feed production was a natural evolution for us," says Randy Dahlen, the co-op’s general manager. "With the availability and capacity offered by our milling operations here in Westby, we realized that we could help organic producers by dedicating the facilities to certified organic feed production that follows our strong, quality-focused feed milling processes."
Natures Grown Organics feed meets the needs and expectations of a rapidly growing agricultural segment.
