United States-New Russian pork quota looks good.
UNITED STATES.
RUSSIAN PORK QUOTA.
The doubling of the pork quota from 50,000 to 100,000 tons is a good sign for the pork processors in the United States, who at one stag appeared in danger of losing the quota all together.
According to the Meat Exporters Federation, this is a good chance to boost pork exports and take advantage of a good market.
This is the first time the Russian pork quota, has exceeded 55,000 tons for the United States.
With pork outside of the quota, it is believed that there could be as much as 160,000 tons of US pork exported to Russia this year, subject to economic terms being in place for payments.
