This week Pizza Hut is introducing a new premium bacon Mac n Cheese recipe, which will increase their bacon requirements on a national basis initially, assuming the product takes off, then it will be offered globally.
The pork and bacon industry need all the support it can obtain, with the recent record prices for feed and lower consumer sales on pork and bacon products.
This new launch comes at a time when other fast food giants are lowering the meat content in products, rather than raise the retail prices.
The simple recipe is pasta covered in cheese and topped with slices of bacon, oven baked.
