Pilgrims Pride confirmed on Tuesday that 450 staff will be laid off, at the companies plant in Texas.

The plant at Nacogdoches, which employs 1,650 staff is going to close down three of its seven prepared food lines, but will continue with its fresh processing of poultry.

The largest poultry processor in the United States, file for bankruptcy last month, after a shocking year in the poultry industry on a global basis.
