SALMONELLA SOURCE IN PEANUT BUTTER, MAYBE!

The beef recall from the Nebraska Beef Company in Omaha last year, was the equivalent of a shocking 25 million quarter pounder burgers or 50 million 2oz burgers.

The Washington Post ran with a story, claiming that there had been problems with the beef company as far back as 2003.

The story claims that the USDA tried to close down the company in 2003, for health irregularities, however the company challenged the decision in court and won.

95% of salmonella and E-coli problems, are down to human error and dirty practices by food handlers.

The salmonella in the tomato’s also had the USDA mystified, there is no trace-ability, so blaming tomato’s from Mexico is akin to blaming the BSE in 2003, on cattle from Canada.

The USDA have not yet confirmed the source of 400 cases of salmonella over the weekend in 42 states which leaves the door open for more problems in the future.
