Uruguay-Exports down in November/December.

EXPORTS DOWN.

Exports in Uruguay were up 34% in the last year, however things have slowed down in November.

Uruguay’s overseas sales, are now beginning to feel the pinch, from a weaker demand and lower prices.

October was a good month, with exports of US$506 million an increase of 30.8% on October of 2007.

The exports of beef, lamb and soy, have been hit badly, with very few sales for the month of November.


However for the first 10 months of the year, exports were US$6.2 billion, which is 40.2% higher than 2007.
