INFLATION AT 30%

The Chevaz government is having problems with rising inflation, while the country is rich in oil and gas it has to import most of its food.

The figures released last weekend of 30.5% inflation are the highest in the region.

Venezuela is buying beef and live cattle from Uruguay and Brazil, dairy produce from their own plants in the Argentine.

The beef for oil contracts, signed with Argentina in February have not commenced as yet, owing to the farmers dispute in Argentina
