NEW POULTRY PRODUCTION UNITS.

Licenses have been granted by the government of Trinidad, for the construction of a new hatchery and the construction of six mega poultry farms.

This follows the policy of Jamaica, in trying to become self sufficient in poultry production.

This is part of the government initiative into agricultural production and has full support of the farming community.

Arawak marketing manager, Robin Phillip, the company behind the scheme from the private sector said, " The new government provisions and support will enable the company to move ahead in the production of broiler chickens and hatcheries and we will graze cattle and sheep around the buildings in the dry season".
