Wheat Genius
Tom and David Bradshaw have proven themselves both worthy of the title of 'wheat genius' with the yield from their crop of Einstein winter wheat.
"It has out yielded all other varieties grown on the farm," said a very happy David Bradshaw. "And we will certainly be growing more next year!"
The Einstein, bred and marketed by Nickerson, was sown over 82 acres as a second wheat, and is expected to have yielded over 340 tonnes.
Tom and David produced this bumper crop at Malting Farm, Little Horkesley, near Colchester, on behalf of W&D Brown.
