Women in Farming celebrated at AgriExpo 2015

BTF Partnership and South East Farmer are hosting a Women in Farming seminar and panel discussion at this year’s Agri-Expo, on Wednesday 4th March from 12 noon till 1pm in the Maidstone Exhibition Hall, Kent County Show Ground, Detling.

The free seminar will be celebrating women in farming – highlighting the opportunities, how to succeed how to protect your farm business and answering questions about the common issues women in farming face today.

The free event is supported by RAMSAK and is in partnership with Brachers, Gullands Solicitors and Partners in Produce.

Building on the Women in Farming supplement in the February edition of South East Farmer, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to experts advising the industry, ask questions, share experiences and discuss the key issues.

With the same number of women and men studying agriculture in higher education, the number of women in farming has more than doubled, making up around 28% of today’s overall farming workforce. There are an increasing number of women successfully building their careers in the agricultural sector and this trend is only going to continue.
