Yorkshire Farmer joins TFA

The Tenant Farmers Association is pleased to announce that its new National Vice Chairman is Yorkshire farmer Stephen Wyrill.

Stephen is a dairy and arable farmer from near Richmond in North Yorkshire and is a tenant both of North Yorkshire County Council and on land owned by his family. He has been a long-standing member of the North-East regional committee and has in recent years served as North-East Regional Chairman for the Tenant Farmers Association.

Speaking at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, TFA National Chairman Greg Bliss said "I am delighted that Stephen has joined the top team at the TFA. I believe that we complement each other extremely well and I am looking forward to working with Stephen over my three years as TFA National Chairman. Stephen is a passionate supporter of the tenanted sector and an enthusiastic advocate on behalf of tenant farmers.

On taking up his role Mr Wyrill said "the tenant farmers Association is a great organisation and I very much look forward to representing the interests of our members across the country to the best of my ability".

Stephen will combine his role as National Vice-Chairman with that of North-East Regional Chairman until the autumn when a successor will be appointed for the regional role.
