Zero tolerance for overdue bovine TB tests
A measure to impose movement restrictions on cattle whose routine TB tests have become overdue, comes into effect on 17 February 2005.
It is one of a range of actions announced by Defra last November which are designed to improve bovine TB surveillance and reduce the risk of the disease spreading to new areas.
Herd owners receive official notification of routine TB test requirements two to three months before they are due. Any owners who have not made arrangements to have their tests completed by the due date are strongly advised to do so without delay.
