Agrovista showed off its cloud-based agronomy system 'Axis' at the arable event Cereals.

Axis is a fully integrated system that can assimilate and collate farm data.

It can collate farm data from a number of disparate sources, including new crop recording software from the Muddy Boots software brand.

With Axis, users have instant access to crop management information, from recording to yield maps to help make informed, timely decisions that facilitate efficient, cost-effective farming practices from any device connected to the internet, anywhere.

Axis has been developed in-house by Agrovista since it acquired the Plantsystem crop weather data platform in 2012.

“With the growing adoption of decision support and precision farming systems, the information being generated by farmers is growing exponentially,” explains Lewis McKerrow, Agrovista’s precision technology manager, who has overseen the development of Axis.

“For some time there has been an increasing onus for the industry to find a way of streamlining its record-keeping processes and data flow.”

Agrovista have been long established as a leading supplier of agronomy advice, seed, crop protection products and precision farming services.
