Fresh opportunity for potatoes

Potato farmers in West Lancashire have an excellent opportunity to talk direct to a North West supermarket's fresh produce buyer at a barbecue being organised by the NFU.

Chris Treble who is the fresh produce buyer for Booths, will be available to talk to NFU members at the barbecue, kindly sponsored by Appleton Potato Mart, which will take place on Thursday 30 November at 6.30pm. The barbecue is being held at the NFU's regional office in Skelmersdale.

The Vice Chairman of the NFU's Horticulture Board, Graham Nichols, will also be present at the meeting and will be giving an update on topical potato issues.
